Comments:
The game was the first meeting between the Syracuse Orange and the Kennesaw State Owls, and kicked off the 2014-2015 basketball season for both teams in the 2K Classic. Syracuse's talent and zone defense easily overwhelmed the Owls, as the Orange led 36-16 halftime, despite poor shooting by both teams. The Orange would score 53 points in the second half for the 89-42 lead.
This was the debut for Syracuse freshman Chris McCullough and Kaleb Joseph, and for redshirt freshman Chino Obokoh. McCullough struggled with his shot but did lead both teams in rebounding; Joseph did not try to score much, and was limited by foul trouble. He did manage six assists playing just over half the game. Obokoh displayed some quick hands with three steals and also had four rebounds in eleven minutes; he also had four fouls in that short term.
