Comments:

Syracuse and North Carolina would meet in the second round of the ACC Tournament. The two teams had met two weeks earlier with the Tar Heels winning 92-79. This game would have a completely different result.

The Orange came out strong scoring the first seven points, and would have a 43-22 lead over North Carolina, with Elijah Hughes scoring 18 points in the first half. Syracuse led 28-22 before going on a 15-0 run to close the first half. The Orange defense stymied the Tar Heels all day, holding them to a mere 12.5% shooting from three point range and forcing 18 turnovers. Meanwhile the Orange shot well enough and crashed the boards, while limiting their own turnovers. Hughes would lead the way for the Orange with 27 points, and Bourama Sidibe would have a strong showing with 13 rebounds, including 6 offensive boards.

This game would be the last game of the season, as Covid-19 shutdown NCAA basketball.
