Comments:

Syracuse led 17-9 to at halftime. Cornell changed their strategy for the second half and were far more aggressive on offense and defense. The Syracuse players were tired by Cornell, and the Big Red were able to overtake the Orangemen. Syracuse's George Fisher had a tough time guarding the Cornell guards, and he would foul out in the second half. Ken Lavin's free throw shooting did not help the Orangemen, as he hit only 4 of 9 shots before being removed for Larry Weltman. [1]
