Pete Conlin was the starting center for Syracuse basketball for two seasons, and was the captain of the 1921 team. He also played football his sophomore year and was on the track team his sophomore and junior years.

Pete Conlin Syracuse Orangemen BasketballConlin started the first four games of his sophomore season before being replaced by senior Bob Marcus. Conlin became a permanent starter his junior season, and proved to be an adept scorer. As captain his senior season, he became the defensive standout on the court. He injured his back late in the season, putting him the hospital for a few games. However, he did not want to miss the rest of the season, so he came back to play despite doctor's orders, finished out the season with his injured back, and went back to the hospital after the season ended.

Conlin played professional basketball for Troy from 1921 to 1924.
