Wallie Parker was a well rounded athlete who played two seasons of varsity basketball for Syracuse. He also lettered in 1919 and 1920 for the football team, and in 1921 for the baseball team. He graduated from Syracuse's school of Forestry in 1920 and school of Management in 1922.

Wallace Parker - Syracuse OrangemenIn 1921, Parker became the head football coach of Central Michigan University. From 1921 to 1928 (he did not coach in 1924 & 1925), Parker led Central Michigan to a 32-10-6 record (including a 6-0-2 record in 1922). His teams outscored the opposition 805-235 during that time. He later became the school's athletic director, developing several of their athletic programs.

In 1991 he was inducted into the Central Michigan University Hall of Fame. Parker passed away in 1972.
