Comments:

This was Syracuse's 27th consecutive loss, setting an NCAA Record for Men's Basketball for Consecutive Losses (since broken). breaking the record previously held by Georgia Tech. It was their 22nd straight loss of the season, bringing their record to 0-22. It was also the last game in the Syracuse War Memorial, as Manley Field House was to open the following season. Only 482 fans came to see the last game at the War Memorial.

Syracuse was losing 38-25 at the half. Syracuse shot only 29.3% from the floor, while Niagara hit 44.2% of their shots.
