Comments:
Cornell had heavier players but Syracuse had more speed. Syracuse led 9-5 at halftime. Earl Twombley and Clinton Goodwin both made difficult shots in the first half to help the Orangemen get their lead.
The second half of the game saw a lot of fouls committed by both teams. Bill Lowe did most of the free throw shooting and field goal shooting for Syracuse in the second half, while Morrison did the same for Cornell.
Syracuse did not do a good job defending Cornell's passing, while Cornell did not do a good job shooting. [1]
This would be the Orangemen's first win as a varsity team.
