Loyal Greenman played guard and forward for Syracuse University for four seasons.

Greenman was a seldom used guard his freshman and sophomore seasons, playing a total of three games and not scoring. His junior season he became part of the rotation of players at right forward, and would start in two games when John Leonard was unable to play.

Greenman was a starter his senior year early in the season, but would eventually lose that position to Wallie Parker and Herm Sawyer.

Greenman served as a private in the Army in World War I. He would later coach high school basketball at Binghamton Central, and would work at the Binghamton Municipal Recreation Commission as the Director of Physical Education and Recreation.

He passed away in 1973.
