Comments:
An NCAA Record Crowd of 34,616 fans watched #4 Syracuse clinch the Big East Regular Season Title by beating #7 Villanova 95-77.
The game was tight during the first ten minutes but then the Orange started to pull away, and had a 10 point lead at halftime 46-36. Syracuse's defense was outstanding, limiting the Wildcats to 28% shooting from three point range, and the Orange were aggressive on the boards, out rebounding Villanova 48-36 (including 22 offensive rebounds). Even better was the Orange ball handling, as Syracuse had only one turnover in the second half of the game.
