Frank Reddout played forward for Syracuse for three seasons. He was a terrific rebounder and developed into an oustanding scorer.
He was a valuable reserve on the team his sophomore season.
Reddout moved into the starting lineup his junior season. He would set the Syracuse single game rebounding record with 34 in a win over Temple on February 9, 1952. Reddout had 20 rebounds in the first half, and 10 in the first quarter, also both school records. Reddout developed into a solid scoring threat in the second half of the season, leading the team in scoring seven out of the last eleven games.
In his senior season, Reddout would tie the school record for points in a game (set the previous season by Ed Miller) when he had 40 points in a 88-76 win over Canisius on February 14th. He would lead the team in scoring with 16.9 points a game.
Reddout was drafted in the third round by the Rochester Royals. He would play seven games before leaving the team to fulfill his military obligations.

Reddout would earn a post-graduate degree at Syracuse and have a career in education as a teacher and guidance counselor in the Newark, NY area. He would also coach the Newark basketball team for a few years in the 1960s.
