Carmine Deer played basketball for Syracuse for three seasons.

Carmine Deer Syracuse Orangemen BasketballDeer saw significant playing time as a reserve his sophomore season, and was seventh in the team in scoring. He would start four games in February when star Ed Stickel injured his leg.

Deer would see diminished playing time his junior season, and would play in only one game his senior year.

He would graduate from Syracuse with a degree in mechanical engineering. Deer would later earn a masters in mathematics from the Stevens Institute of Technology and an MBA from Harvard University. He would have a distinguished business career, and served as an executive / president of a few different engineering businesses. [1]

Deer would pass away in 1988 at the age of 60.
