Comments:
Syracuse's Ed Miller would become the first Syracuse player to score 40 points in a game. He also set a Buffalo Memorial Auditorium scoring record at the same time. Miller scored 26 of his points in the first half, as the Orangemen had a 52-42 halftime lead. Canisius would get within five points a couple of times in the second half before the Orangemen put the game away. [1]
