Alex Prokopiak was a reserve forward on the Syracuse basketball team for three seasons. Prokopiak did not play much each season, playing in only a combined 6 games his freshman, sophomore and junior seasons. He did not play his senior year. He scored two points against the University of Toronto in December 1946.
Prokopiak would coach baseball and basketball at Smith Tech in Syracuse starting in the early 1950s.
