Dick Seymour was an guard for Syracuse basketball for three seasons. Seymour was an outstanding athlete at Syracuse lettering three times in basketball, three times in football and four times in baseball (he played shortstop and outfield). He was small in stature but very fast and elusive on the court and field.
Seymour was the starting guard his sophomore year as the team went 8-3. His junior year Seymour was the playmaker on the team, and the star defensive guard. He would be part of Syracuse's first (and only) undefeated team as the Orangemen went 12-0.
As a senior Seymour would again be the team's playmaker while also coming in second on the team in field goals made. The team would go 10-1 that season.
Seymour split time in football at quarterback, halfback, and end.
