Lou Stark was a reserve basketball player for Syracuse for two seasons. Stark played guard and was a good defensive player. He would not play his senior year.
After Syracuse he would serve in the 1st Chemical Company of the US Army for six years, rising to the rank of sergeant. Stark would return to Syracuse University after the military and earn his Masters Degree.
He would be a successful physical education instruction in the Syracuse district for years, along with being the basketball coach (1966-1971), and the athletic director at Nottingham High School. He was inducted into the inaugural class of the Syracuse Urban Sports Hall of Fame in 1998.
Stark was the younger brother of Syracuse players Mike and Pat Stark.
Stark passed away in 2017.[1]
