The Syracuse Orangemen and Toronto Varsity Blues first met in 1912 with the Orangemen winning easily 45-28. Syracuse's Vic Hanson would score 26 points against Toronto in 1925 setting a then-Orangemen record for points in a game.
The two schools met regularly from 1930 to 1950. Syracuse would play Toronto in the first game of a doubleheader on December 4th, 1948. The Orangemen would win 76-34 and then play Ithaca College later that day, beating Ithaca 81-41.
All sixteen games in ther series have been played in Syracuse, with the Orange winning them all. The two schools last met in 1963.
