Bart Shaw was a versatile player on the Syracuse basketball team for three seasons.
Shaw was the captain of the Syracuse freshman basketball team. He would be a reserve forward his sophomore year, failing to score. As a junior Shaw was one of the top reserve guards.
Shaw was the most experienced player his senior year and was named the team captain. He was projected to be the starting center, but he had an ankle injury at the beginning of the season. By February he would be up to speed, and would take over the starting center position from Johnny Harwood for the remainder of the year.
