Bob Parker was a reserve center for Syracuse basketball for four seasons.
Parker's largest role on the team was as a reserve center his sophomore year, as he backed up classmate Earnie Seibert. Parker would get the only start of his Syracuse career that season in a win over St. Bonaventure on February 4th, replacing an ailing Seibert. Parker had a career high 8 points in the Final Four loss to Kentucky his sophomore year. He would not be on the traveling team most of his junior and senior seasons.
Parker would be employed by Eastman Kodak following graduation, and would work there as a buyer for 29 years. He also became a high school official in 1977, and would referee basketball, soccer and softball games for nearly thirty years. He was a highly respected and recognized basketball referee.
Parker passed away in January 2006 at the age of 51 [1].
