Walt Scott was a reserve forward for Syracuse basketball for one season. He was one of the first African American athletes to play basketball for Syracuse, with Wilmeth Sidat-Singh and Ronnie Kilpatrick preceding him.
Scott was the top sophomore reserve the one season he played for the Orangemen. He scored a career high 12 points leading the Orangemen in scoring in a 77-63 loss to Penn State.
