Steve Shaw was a reserve forward for Syracuse basketball for three seasons. Shaw was described as a hard nosed player.
Shaw would see little playing time his sophomore season. He would start the first five games of his junior season before Kevin King replaced him in the starting lineup. Shaw would be a valuable reserve his senior season, relieving Rudy Hackett and Chris Sease as needed. He would not start any games that year.
Shaw would graduate from Syracuse with a law degree and practice law in the Syracuse area.
