Paul Horowitz played guard for Syracuse for one season. He was also an outstanding baseball player, playing on the varsity for three years and his junior and senior seasons as the starting catcher.
Horowitz was one of the stars of the freshman basketball team in 1926-1927. He would immediately earn a spot in the starting lineup his sophomore season, starting the first game against Hobart. He would start four of the first six games, and then be a top reserve for most of the rest of the season.
Horowitz did not return to the basketball team after his sophomore year.
