Joel Katz was a walk-on guard for Syracuse basketball for three seasons. Katz would play twentyfour games over three seasons and total seventeen points. He proved to be a decent free throw shooter, making 79% of his shots.
Katz was born in New York City, but his family would move to Puerto Rico when he was an infant. He played high school sports in Puerto Rico.
After graduation, Katz would return to his home in Puerto Rico and become a real estate developer.
