Johnny Balinsky was a starting guard for Syracuse in the 1930's and a three time letterman. He was known for a two hand set shot he took from the corner of the court. He was co-captain of the basketball team his
senior season.
Balinsky won two Connecticut state championships while at Naugatuck High School.
During World War II he was a supply sergeant stationed stateside. He was later a longtime businessman in Canastota, NY. Balinsky passed away in 1989.
