George Koesters was a reserve center for Syracuse basketball for one season.
Koesters would play on the freshman basketball team and was also a pitcher on the freshman baseball team. As a sophomore he was a reserve on the varsity basketball team appearing in three games. Koesters would leave the team in February as he entered military service. He would serve a sergeant in the Air Force. He would attend the University of Buffalo after his military service ended.
Koesters would work for several companies in his career including: Union Carbide, Ocean Systems, Samson Cordage, Perry Oceanographic and Nautilus Environmental, and Teledyne Tri Bio Laboratories [1]
Koesters passed away in 2014.
