Donnie Freeman is a forward for Syracuse basketball. He was a 2024 McDonald's All American, and was ranked sixth in his recruiting class by ESPN.com.

Freeman displayed a nice shooting touch his freshman year along with terrific rebounding efforts. He had 10+ rebounds in 7 of the 14 games he played. He had a season high 24 points in a win over Albany, and 13 rebounds against Texas Tech. Freeman had a nagging foot injury that ended his season after the January 4th Florida State game.

Freeman would start his sophomore year strong with 71 points in the first four games. He would have another foot injury that would force him to miss the next nine games before returning for ACC conference play. He often displayed tremendous offensive skills but was inconsistent with his game. He was most successful near the hoop but preferred to shoot from the perimeter, where he was below average. He scored a season high 28 points in a loss to Wake Forest, and 27 in a win Georgia Tech. He had 10+ rebounds in four games, with a season high 14 versus Boston College.
