The Syracuse Orangemen and Towson Tigers (then Towson State) first met in 1989. The Orange would win easily behind Billy Owens 12 assists and 12 rebounds. The teams would meet again in 1990, with Owens having another big night with 30 points and 16 rebounds.
The two schools last met in 2005. The Orange have won all three games in the series.
