The Syracuse Orangemen and Creighton Bluejays first met in 1922, and last played in 1966.
The two teams played an unusual home and away series from 1929 to 1932, to accommodate difficult traveling between Omaha and Syracuse during that era. The teams played two back-to-back games in Syracuse in 1929, then two back-to-back games in Omaha in 1930, and then did the same thing again in 1931 and 1932. In all four series, the teams split that year!
Creighton joined the Big East conference for the 2013-2014 season, the year after Syracuse left, so the two teams never played within the Big East conference.
