Charley Trout played three years for Syracuse basketball. He was a star on the Syracuse football team, lettering three times, playing half back and end.
Trout had limited playing time his sophomore and junior seasons at Syracuse. His senior season he started at forward until mid season. Though he was in good academic standing, he lacked the extra study honor points required and was suspended from second half of the season (after February 10th). He would appeal the suspension and end up missing only one game.
