Comments:
Syracuse would jump to a 24-12 lead in the first half. The second half was closer, but the Mountaineers could not catch into the Orangemen lead.
The Mountaineer's Homer Martin led all scores with 14 points. Charley Dolley was the top shooter from the flooer and led the Orangemen to victory with his 12 points. Danny Martin struggled at the free throw line as the designated shooter, making only one of six attempts. John Barsha would replace him for the remainder of the game.
