Bob Lambert was a tall lanky forward with good quickness for Syracuse basketball for three seasons. He also lettered in baseball in 1927 and 1928.
Lambert did not get much playing time his sophomore year because he had academic issues. Though there were several upperclassmen ahead of him his role as a reserve did increase his junior year.
Lambert would move into the starting lineup his senior season. His scoring output would improve as the season moved along, and he would become a significant offensive option for the Orangemen. He would finish second on the team in scoring.
Lambert would work for Corning Glass Works for several years after graduating.
