Billy Keys was a reserve forward for Syracuse basketball for one season. Keys was a two time all-state high school player in Pennsylvania.
Keys was a reserve his freshman year, playing in most of the games. However, entering his sophomore year, he was informed by new head coach Jim Boeheim that he and teammate Larry Arrington would be the 14th & 15th men on the depth chart, with the arrival of four talented freshman [1]. Keys would quit the team in November, before playing any games.
Keys would transfer to Tulsa University. He would find success on the court at Tulsa, leading the Golden Hurricanes in rebounding, free throws, and field goal percentage his junior season. He would average 10.7 points per games for Tulsa, and finish his career with 735 points.
