Bob Dooms was a short but strong center for Syracuse basketball for three seasons. Dooms was only 6'5", and he would be the tallest starter on Roy's Runts his sophomore year. However, he was very good at running the court, and known for his hustle.
Dooms would start every game he played at Syracuse. He would lead the team in rebounding his sophomore year, with a respectable 8.4 rebounds per game. He struggled at the free throw line making only 47% of his attempts.
Dooms would improve his scoring his junior season, though 6'9" sophomore Rudy Hackett would lead the team in rebounding. Dooms still started every game his senior year, though he saw less playing time as Fred Saunders and Chris Sease joined the frontcourt.
