Arthur Potter was a center and forward for Syracuse basketball for the 1914-1915 season.
Potter would become a starter midway through the season replacing Sol Bloom. Potter would score a career high 8 points in a win over Dartmouth to end the season.
Potter graduated from Syracuse in 1915 with a degree in mechanical engineering. He was an avid pistol shooter and fared well in many competitions in the Syracuse area.
In 1936 he submitted a design for a new reloading press officially named the 'Potter Duplex Cartridge Reloading Press'. He would introduce another reloading press a few years later, and in 1941 he set up Potter Engineering Company in Cazenovia, New York. [1] In 1950 he moved the business to Jacksonville, Florida, and a few years later to Dunedin, Florida. The business eventually expanded into boat winches, and casting of pots.
Potter passed away in 1976.
