Adam Markowski was a three sport letterman at Syracuse. He was a forward for the Syracuse basketball team for two seasons. He was as star player on the baseball team, lettering three times playing centerfield, and he lettered in football in 1937.

Adam Markowski - Syracuse OrangemenMarkowski was a regularly played reserve on the basketball team his sophomore season, but saw very little playing time his junior year.

He was would coach basketball and baseball at Syracuse's Sacred Heart from 1957 to 1965. He was the first basketball coach at Sacred Heart, and his teams would go 116-40. His 1958-1959 team went 21-0 and won the Syracuse Parochial league. His baseball team would win the all city championship in 1965. Markowski retired from coaching in 1965 because his job at General Electric required him to go overseas.

Markowski later returned to New York, and worked for the state in the 1970s.

Markowski passed away in 1994. He was elected to the Syracuse Sports Hall of Fame in 2013.
