Woody Newton was a forward for Syracuse basketball for one season.
Newton had limited playing time his freshman year, playing in eleven games. He had surprised many by moving ahead of Robert Braswell in the depth chart early in the season, likely based on some solid play in those early games. His playing time reduced significantly after the team's second Covid protocol pause.
Newton would transfer to Oklahoma State after his freshman year.
