Walter 'Red' Kiebach was a reserve guard on the Syracuse basketball team for one season. He was a star of the Syracuse baseball team, serving as team captain, and lettering in 1935 and 1936.
Kiebach was the editor of the Syracuse Daily Orange, and studied psychology [1]. He was a Major in World War II and served under General George Patton. He was a high school teammate of fellow Orangeman Ralph Nittinger.
Kiebach founded The Manpower Franchise in Reading, Pennsylvania and Security Guards in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. He created the Walter S. and Olivia B. Kiebach Foundation, and founded the International Studies Program at Syracuse University.
Kiebach passed away in 2007.
