Tyrone Albright was a reserve guard for Syracuse basketball for one season. He joined the team his senior season as a walk-on.
Albright did not play basketball at Corcoran High School. After he finished high school he worked for four years at a Syracuse Boys & Girls club to help raise his family. He enrolled at Onondaga Community College and began playing basketball. He would lead all community college players in assists in 2001-02 with 12.7 apg, and was second in the nation in 2000-01 with 9.9 apg. Twice he had games with 23 assists He would set OCC career school records for career assists, career assists per game, and career steals. He was named the MSAC All-Conference First Team in 2002, and was the OCC co-captain both seasons. [1]

Albright would transfer to Syracuse with the hopes of being a walk-on, and was successful in doing so as a 26 year old senior. Albright would play in seven games, all in blow out games, in Syracuse's National Championship season.
Albright was named to the Onondaga Community College Hall of Fame in 2008.
