Ron McCane played varsity basketball for two years at Syracuse.
McCane played on the freshman team and was a solid player, but he was academically ineligible to play his sophomore season [1]. He would play in two games his junior season, and then miss the 1957-1958 season. His senior season he would score four points in the season opener, and then not play again that year.
McCane was a high school teammate of Jon Cincebox and Ted Parke at Binghamton Central, and their team had the moniker 'The Century Club' because of their scoring prowess.[2]
