Henry Guyer was a forward on the Syracuse basketball team for one season.
Guyer attended Springfield College before coming to Syracuse. He played varsity football, baseball, and basketball at Springfield for the two years he was there before he graduated. Guyer was name an All-New England forward for both seasons, and lead the league in free throw shooting making 305 free throws out of 350 tries (87%). [1]
Guyer was a starter early in the year, and over the course of the season would provide some scoring help.
Upon graduation, Guyer would teach and coach at Penn Yan, before moving to another teaching position in Long Island in 1927. He also played some professional minor league baseball.
