Dave Siock was a center for Syracuse for four seasons. He was a large muscular player on a 6'10" frame, but played with a soft shooting touch and finesse, instead of aggression and physical play.
Siock would play limited time his freshman season, and would redshirt his second year. He woud see limited playing time his sophomore season too with senior LeRon Ellis and classmate Conrad McRae playing the center position.
Siock would then share playing time with McRae at the center position his junior and senior years. Siock would actually start more games than McRae (31 versus 30), but McRae would play twice as many minutes. Though Siock had a nice lefthanded shot, he was not aggressive enough to consistently play against other big players in the Big East. His senior year, Siock would have a career high 10 points against Connecticut and 10 rebounds against Cornell.
He would graduate from Syracuse in 1993 with a degree in Mathematics, and later earn a Masters in Sports Management from Old Dominion. He would get into the field of education and serve as a school administrator in Virginia.
