The Syracuse Orangemen and Western Reserve first met in 1930 with the Orangemen winning 46-28. The two teams met regularly from 1930 to 1942, with the Orangemen winning four of six games. The schools have not played since 1942.
Western Reserve University merged with Case Institute of Technology in 1967 to form Case Western University. The school now plays Division III basketball.
