The Syracuse Orangemen and Vermont Catamounts first met in the first round of the 2005 NCAA Tournament. The Catamounts would pull a huge upset over the Orange winning 60-57.
The next time the two schools met was also in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, this time in 2010. The outcome was different as the Orange easily handled Vermont 79-56.
