The Syracuse Orangemen and Kansas State Wildcats first met in 1968 in Manhattan, Kansas, with the Wildcats winning 88-68. The two teams have since met twice in the NCAA tournament, with the Orangemen winning both games. The Orangemen beat Kansas State in 1975 to advance to its first Final Four.
