Syracuse University played the Crescent Athletic Club New Mooners three times in varsity basketball between 1920 to 1923. Syracuse would win one of the three games. The Crescent Athletic Club was founded in 1884, and was one of the most successful sporting clubs in New York City in the early 1900s. It would close after bankruptcy in 1939.
Syracuse beat Crescents in 1920, snapping the Crescent's 20 game winning streak.
