Courtland Sanney was a reserve forward for two seasons for Syracuse. He started a few games his sophomore season, and two more his junior season.
With the outbreak of World War I, Sanney left college early to join the army as a Lieutenant. He was wounded in action while fighting in Europe for Company C. He would rise to rank of Captain during the war.
He would later be the manager of the Fleischman Vinegar Plant in Philadelphia for 18 years.
Sanney passed away in 1988.
