Comments:

It was senior day at the Carrier Dome, with Rick Jackson the lone senior on the squad. The Orange needed the win to secure the #4 seed in the upcoming Big East Tournament, and the double-bye that came along with it. The team did not disappoint the fans, as they beat DePaul by 48 points, 107-59, for the largest point differential in Big East history.

Syracuse entered the game ranked #12 in the country, while DePaul was dead last in the Big East with only two wins. Syracuse led 57-28 at halftime. Jackson did not disappoint the fans leading the team in scoring with 14 points, adding seven rebounds and 4 blocks to his day. Scoop Jardine had a flawless ballhandling day with 8 assists and no turnovers. Brandon Triche extended his free throw shooting streak to 29 consecutive free throws.
