Bradley Barnard was a reserve center for two seasons for Syracuse. He would start one game in the 1917 season.
With the outbreak of World War I, Barnard left college to join the Navy in 1917 where he served as an Ensign. After the war ended, Barnard would join the Syracuse Post Standard's advertising department, rather than return to college. In 1934 he would join the Rome Sentinel newspaper, and would become president of the Sentinel in 1941. Barnard would serve as the editor and publisher for nearly 25 years.
Barnard would become chairman of the board of the Rome Sentinel in 1964, and he would pass away in April 1969 [1]
